You Bastard!

Dear DVR,

I thought the world of you. I thought you were here for me.
I thought I could come home to you and you would make me happy.

Why on earth would you decide to stop recording the Tour de France ONE MILE from the finish of the most exciting stage yet?

I thought you cared.

It's obvious you don't.

I can barely see through this web of lies anymore.

I'll give you another chance, but I don't know if I can trust you anymore.

*sigh*

  1. Maybe it should be the Wish ItWork. How frustrating!

  2. You gotta extend the time for recordings with sporting events. What they record is just an estimate of how long it will take. To be safe I usually add an hour.

  3. Comcast has an option to include an extra 30 minutes for sports broadcasts when you begin the recording

    maybe Dish just sucks

  4. I'm new to all this DVR crap, so I guess it was my mistake.
I've changed the setting to record +30 minutes after every broadcast.

  6. Actually kind of weird- especially since the actual race seems to end far before the broadcast for the day. Usually with all of the post-race wrapping up there's plenty of time to get the whole race for the day in. Of course, the same has happened to me before. I default to 5 minutes before and after for most of my recordings just to be safe.
